Important Information...

• Cobb County teachers, paraprofessionals, and instructional staff are invited to participate in Cobb’s inaugural Teachers Leading Cobb summer conference, held on June 13 and 14, (8:00-3:30) at McEachern High School.  Click here to preview the 180 sessions being offered!  $150 stipend will be awarded if you attend both days.  Registration begins Monday morning!

Important Information...

• Please plan with your team a time and place to do your yearbook signing on Friday.
• Please plan ahead so that all students' personal items will be taken home on Tuesday, May 22nd.  No backpacks or papers can be taken on the buses the last two days of school.
• End of Year Checklists will be placed in your boxes this week.
• Pink and blue cards are on the table in the mail room for any new students to Pitner this year.
• Mrs. Hill's Book Give Away will take place again in the main hallway.  Please bring your students on your assigned days.

• Think about attending the Teachers Leading Cobb Conference June13-14 to learn about new resources, ideas and strategies to improve teaching and learning. If you attend both days you will earn 1 PLU and $150 stipend!  Registration begins May 21.

• Congratulations Michelle Lanier, Angela Perry, Marcia Robinson and Coach Z for being nominated for Teacher of the Year!!!
• This Wednesday is Adminstrative Professional's Week.  We appreciate our amazing team: Ana, Iris, Paula and Nicole!
• May Collaboration Days are scheduled and Ana will be getting subs.  This last collaboration day will be devoted to learning about the new Common  Core.  Your team will not need an agenda.  Wendy Cox, from Professional Learning, will be leading you through several activities to prepare you for the changes next year.
• Are you interested in a Teacher Leader Endorsement?  Information and applications are posted on the Professional Learning website for 2013. Applications are due to administrators by May 11 and to Professional Learning by May 18.
• Save the date! The Second Annual Teachers Leading Cobb Conference will be held June 13 and 14 at McEachern High School.

• Just a reminder that testing begins this Wednesdays at 8:00AM.  Extra efforts need to be made in the hallways to ensure uninterrupted testing environments.
