Happy day!

Good day parents,

I hope your week is off to a great start.  Just a few tidbits. We will be going on a field trip to the Atlanta Historical Center on October 17th. Field trip permission forms went home today with your child. Please make sure the form is returned no later than October 14th.  The cost for the trip is 11.00. Please make sure you sign your child's agenda each night.  He/she should have his/her homework written down.  We were going to have a Science test today, but I want to review more today and tomorrow.  Please make sure he/she is ready to test on Thursday. In math this week, we will be covering math 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication.  Please make sure your child completes his/her homework everyday. In wordlywise we are studying unit 5.  We will test on it next Tuesday.  Your child has ample time to study.  Quiz them on the words each night, so you know he/she is prepared for the test. We will be testing on Daily language Review this Friday.  We will be testing on unit four in spelling on Friday.  The students have their core words, stretch it words, finish it words, and add it words.  Several of these words will appear on their Spelling test.  In addition, they should know how to use the following words in their proper context. Its, it's, and there, their, they're.  Please make sure your child has a healthy snack each day and he/she reads 20 min nightly.

Terrific Tuesday

Good day parents,

Here's what's going on this week.  We will have a wordlywise quiz on Friday over unit 4. Please make sure your child studies nightly.  On next Tuesday, we will have a Science test on Chapter 3 ,the water cycle.  Students should make sure they study each of the lessons in chapter three as well as vocabulary. In math, we are covering multiplication arrays and multyplying 1 digit by 3 digit numbers and 2 digit by 2 digit numbers.  Students will have a quiz on Friday. We are beginning unit 4 in Spelling students will be given core words to study tomorrow. Today for homework, students have math workbook rw 39&40, Wordlywise 4d, Science lesson 3, and Spelling take home activity. Please sign your child's reading log each night and sign his/her agenda as well. Picture day is September 29th.  It's not too late to pay for pictures.  Forms went home last Thursday.  Thursday folders will go home on Thursday and I have included a signature sheet for you to sign, showing that you saw your child's agenda. Please send a healthy snack to school each day with your child.

Marvelous Monday!

Good day parents,

Today progress reports will go home .  Please review your child's progress report and discuss any improvements they can make.  Please sign the report and send it back tomorrow.  All t-shirt monies are due by Friday.  If you would like for your child to have a t-shirt, please send the money in immediately. 

We are working on native American Indians. We will test on chapter two on Wednesday. Students should know all vocabulary words and the life and culture of Native American Indians.  We are working on wordlywise 3a. We will test on wordlywise on Friday. Please make sure your child studies nightly.  We are also completing our daily language review each day and will test on that on Friday as well. In math we are working on multiplying 1 digit by 2 and 3 digit numbers. All students should have taken 1 AR test by last Friday and will be required to take another one by this Friday. AR will be counted as a reading grade and all tests not taken will impact their final reading grade.

Please sign your child's agenda each night and sign his/her reading log nightly. Please ensure your child has a healthy snack each day.  Have a great week.

Health homework daily- chapter 1 worksheets.

Students should have agenda signed everyday. Please bring a healthy snack each day. Ar is up and running.  Please have your child take an AR test weekly as a part of his/her reading grade.

Good day parents!

I hope everyone had a great long weekend!  Today is Tuesday and we have a lot to do this week.  Each day your child should bring home his/her wordlywise vocabulary words to study. The test will be next Monday. They will have the weekend to study.  Each day they will have a wordlywise lesson to do.  Today will be 2b.  We are working on Unit two in Spelling.  We will test over it next Tuesday.  Please have your students study their core words everyday. This Friday we will have a Social Studies test over Chapter 1 and we will begin Chapter two on Native American Indians in chapter two next week.  Please quiz them over vocabulary and important information on chapter 1, so they will be prepared for their test.  In math we will be working on Chapter two lesson 1&2. We are working on graphs, rounding, and number sentences.

Please send your child to school each day with a healthy snack.  All students should be reading AR books everyday for 20 mins.  I will expect all students to start taking AR tests by Friday.  Please sign your child's yellow agenda everyday.  We are recycling aluminum cans, so if you have aluminum cans, please bring them to school for recycling.  T-shirt order forms went home in their Thursday folder, please send in the form along with the money, if you want your child to have a 4th grade t-shirt. All students received their Thursday folder on Friday and should have shown you their graded work.  This is my weekly communication with you on your child's academic progress in my class.  It is very important that you check this folder weekly to ensure you know how they are progressing academically.
