Hello parents,
I hope everyone had a great weekend. It's very chilly now, so please make sure your child wears long sleeves and jackets to school.
This week we are starting a new unit in Social Studies. We will be introducing early explorers. Students will study explorers from England, spain, and France. Students will receive a study guide to study. For the next three weeks students do not need their Science book, but will need their Social Studies book or handouts they were given in class. Today's homework is to complete Chapter 3 lesson three review from their Social Studies book.
In math this week we are focusing on division. tonight's homework is to complete lesson 10.3 in their practice book.
In writing this week, we are focusing on responding to what we read by writing a summary and making judgments about the books we read. In reading we are reading fiction and non-fiction books and discussing how we make connections to the books we read in order to help us understand what we are reading.
Report cards were sent home on Friday. Please sign report card and return signed form tomorrow. Please have your child read everyday on the weekend. Please sign their agenda and reading log daily. Also, please ensure your child brings a healthy snack to school each day.
