Conference Week Message Board 1/26/09

As you know, this week is conference week! So far they have all been great. I look forward to meeting with the rest of you later this week. If you are unable to attend, we will be rescheduling missed conferences during the first week of February. Remember to sign the parent signature cards and return ASAP.

Due to the new, and successful, homework packets that have been coming home, our blog has suffered a little from negligence. We will still use the blog to update you on school happenings, etc. However, the HW will no longer be posted here.

Book Buddies: Due to Mrs. Anderson's husband being really sick recently, we have not been invited up to read. I will be checking in with her again after conferences settle down to set up and resume our schedule.

NEW IDEAS:

In honor of the upcoming Super Bowl, I have a Scavenger Hunt  for the kids to try! It is a great activity for fathers and sons or fathers and daughters to do together.

 

 

 

Monday Morning Message 1/12/2009

Happy Monday!

* Mock CRCT is on Wednesday! Please get children here on time ready to begin promptly at 8 AM. Get a good night's rest and eat a good breakfast. This CRCT does not count!!

* STAR LAB TUESDAY 1/13!

* Students will have a science and math (Jackson only) test this week. PLease look for study guides to be coming home this week.

* Keep up with the January calendar for the reading assignments throughout the month. Students will receive materials during the week it is assigned.

* Turn in conference forms please!

Monday Morning Message 1/5/2009

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

We are excited to get back to the routine of things in 2009! I want to remind you to look for your child's conference form to come home this THURSDAY!  Conference Week begins on 1/26 - 1/30. Students will be released early during this week and conferences will begin promptly at 12:20PM. Teachers have already discussed sibling conferences and they have been scheduled accordingly. If there is a time conflict, please let your teacher(s) know ASAP.

Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Jackson's day to stay late will be on Monday, January 26th. Our last conference on Monday will be at 4:20 PM. First come first served.

ALL conferences last 20 minutes only. Please be on time. If there is something especially important that you would like to discuss, please tell us on the bottom of your conference form.  Report cards will be distributed at conferences.

We can do a phone conference in the event that you cannot come into the building on your scheduled date and time. Phone conferences will occur DURING the scheduled time and on the scheduled date on your conference form.
