It's hard to believe that we're over half way through our school year! We're already thinking ahead to the Milestones test in April. I'm sure you've noticed that more homework is coming home. These assignments are added practice of the skills we're learning in class. Please go over your child's completed work. This is a great way to show your student how important school is.
If you've lived in Georgia very long, you know that our temperatures can vary 40 degrees or more in one day! Our morning recess is at 10am, and it can still be cool at that time. Please allow your student to bring a jacket and layer clothing so that s/he can take off outer wear as the day warms up.
We're currently studying fractions, measuring and line plots, informational writing, Georgia Habitats, and our reading goal is to be reading on Fountas and Pinnell Level O by the end of this quarter. Progress reports go home next week on Feb. 14th.
We will have a Valentine exchange on Feb. 14th. If you'd like to send in a treat, please contact our room rep.
