Wow! I can't believe it's already the end of the second quarter! Only 4 days left until winter break--and they are a very busy 4 days! We are in the process of wrapping up our units for the quarter including informational reading/writing, magnets in science, and operations with decimals in math. Ms. Perry came and did a counseling lesson yesterday and challenged students to complete a Random Act of Kindness each school day until break!
Upcoming dates to remember:
Monday, December 19th:
Cereal box book report is due! Students should bring in the completed report along with their rubric and be prepared to present their "commercial".
Students can bring in baked goods to support Student Council's bake sale on the 20th.
Tuesday, December 20th:
Pajama Day ($2 dollars) and Bake Sale (Each treat is $1)
Wednesday, December 21st:
Movie in the morning (We will watch Newsies and discuss it's context within our "Turn of the Century" Social Studies unit)
Holiday Party at 12:30
-Parents are welcome to attend!
-If your student wants to participate in the gift exchange, they should bring a wrapped gift no more than 5-6 dollars (girls bring a gift for a girl, boys bring a gift for a boy).
